Location

We will be holding our Square One location at a new location this summer as Sheridan College will be closed. We have found a nice spacious unit (2500 square feet) located at 1100 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W. across the street from the Erindale Go station. This unit is fully air conditioned.

Covid-19

We will be taking the following precautions this summer:

  1. Follow all guidelines by public health
  2. Follow all government recommendations
  3. Reducing camp numbers in half or more by location to ensure physical distancing of 6 feet between campers and staff is adhered to
  4. Taking daily temperature of staff and children
  5. Having all kids wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival and throughout the day
  6. Sanitizing all commonly touched areas several times per day
  7. Parents will not be permitted inside the camp. There will be a check in table at the door
  8. Outings will be reevaluated closer to the summer and could be cancelled. This decision will be based on what Public Health recommends.

What is STEM? STEM is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. STEM is everywhere today and in everything we do. It builds and teaches creativity, problem solving, life skills, ingenuity, resourcefulness, patience and curiosity. STEM is what shapes the future as our world grows and changes.

Ages 4 to 7 – For this age group, some of the projects include making a kaleidoscope, creating & launching a straw rocket, making a catapult and building a paddle boat that floats. Kids will also be introduced to coding using Blue-Bot, a bluetooth programmable floor robot.

Ages 8 to 13 – In this group, kids will be introduced to many STEM concepts thru hands on projects such as creating a wigglebot (homemade motorized robot), a solar oven that will cook s’mores, building a ferris wheel with popsicle sticks and awesome science experiments such as making hot ice and elephant toothpaste.

Creative Chefs (AM) & Crafts (PM) (Ages 4 to 7) (Ages 8 to 13)
