Camp Descriptions

Counselor in Training Program – CIT (Ages 13 to 15)

In this program teens will develop the skills required to be a camp counselor.  They will learn leadership skills by participating in team building activities and practicing good communication skills. CIT will act as a positive role model to the campers. They will learn new skills to be able to lead a group of campers and to help them. They will also assist with games, camp preparation and clean up. They will learn to interact with the kids in order to maximize their camp experience. They will also be taught how to handle difficult situations that arise during camp.

Creative Crafts  (Ages 4 to 10)

Campers will paint a beautiful ceramic piece which will be fired in our kiln, build clay pieces with polymer clay, paint t-shirts, create pearler bead designs, make clay pot & wood crafts & many more.

Adventure Camp  (Ages 4 to 6) (Ages 7 to 10)

This is a traditional camp with a variety of activities held mostly outdoors weather permitting. Kids will participate in thing like a scaventure hunt, outdoor games, drama, science, archery and geocaching.

Sport Development  (Ages 4 to 6) (Ages 7 to 9)

In this camp kids will explore different sports such as soccer, golf, field hockey, badminton, basketball and frisebee golf.

STEM (Ages 4-6) (Ages 7 to 12)

What is STEM? STEM is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. STEM is everywhere today and in everything we do. It builds and teaches creativity, problem solving, life skills, ingenuity, resourcefulness, patience and curiosity. STEM is what shapes the future as our world grows and changes.

Ages 4 to 7 – For this age group, some of the projects include making a kaleidoscope, creating & launching a straw rocket, making a catapult and building a paddle boat that floats. Kids will also be introduced to coding using Blue-Bot, a bluetooth programmable floor robot.

Ages 8 to 13 – In this group, kids will be introduced to many STEM concepts thru hands on projects such as creating a wigglebot (homemade motorized robot), a solar oven that will cook s’mores, building a ferris wheel with popsicle sticks and awesome science experiments such as making hot ice and elephant toothpaste.

Lego Robotics (Ages 5 to 8)

We offer multiple themes so that Lego enthusiasts have new projects each week. Models include motors and sensors that can then be programmed to move and make sounds using simple drag & drop block technology.

Science Theme: Kids will engage in learning experiences that make science come to life. Some of the topics/models include a science rover, robust structures (earthquake), a frog’s metamorphosis, plants & pollinators, drop & rescue helicopter and flooding prevention (dam).

City Bots Theme: Engineers of the future will build robots that lead to the growth of our cities. Models include building a crane, a monorail, a lift, a motorcycle, a helicopter, a race car, auto show cars, trucks and even an x-wing starfighter.

Dino Park Theme: Kids will take a journey into the prehistoric world of din0saurs. Models include a stegosaurus, a triceratop, a pteranodon, a t-rex and many more.

Lego Robotics (Ages 9 to 12)

Using Lego Mindstorms EV-3, kids will build various robots using different sensors (gyro, ultrasonic, color & touch) and will learn to program these robots to move, turn & make sounds. They will learn to interprete the sensors feedback to make it perform certain tasks.
They can also take part in a space challenge which consists of 7 missions that were co-developed with space experts. Students will explore and create innovative solutions to current space exploration topics.

mbot Robotics (Ages 9 to 12)

Camper’s will build robots using Makeblock mbot kits which consists of aluminum parts, a powerful MegaPi mainboard, motors and a range of sensors.  Once the robot is complete campers will learn to program the robot using block-based programming. Campers will develop their logical thinking and design skills.

Coding with Scratch (Ages 9 to 12)

Campers will learn how to use the Scratch platform to code fun games such as Asteroids, Flappy Birds, Crossy Roads, Rock Blaster, Ping Pong, Treasure Island and many more. Campers can choose from our extensive library of games that will grow their coding skills starting from beginner to advanced.
