Location

Mississauga Central Library – 301 Burnhamthorpe Rd W, Mississauga

Our camps are aimed at 4 – 13 year old kids and will run between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday to Friday, with extended hours available for a small extra cost. Kids can come for the full week or for a few days.

 

Cost

•         Full week – $270 plus tax per child – 10% off 2nd and 3rd child
•         Single days – $55 plus tax, $65 plus tax  for Wednesday & Thursday Outings
 
 

Extended Hours

We offer early drop off and late pick up for your children from 8:00 – 9:00 am and in the afternoons from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at an extra charge of $5 (+HST) per child for each session.

 

Field Trips

Wednesday – Bronte Creek Maple Syrop Festival (Includes pancakes for lunch)

Thursday Afternoon – Movie Theater (Choice between 2 or 3 movies)

 

Lunches/Snacks (Pizza Lunch on Friday)

Kids should bring 2 snacks each day.

Monday: Bring a lunch

Tuesday: Optional Subway lunch (Order at time of registration)

Wednesday: Pancake lunch at Bronte Creek included for all campers (Bring a drink)

Thursday: Bring a lunch

Friday: Pizza & juice lunch included for all campers

 

 

Optional Subway Lunch on Tuesday

You may order a subway lunch during the registration process at an extra cost starting from $5.69 for a Kids’ Pak. You may also order 6 inch & footlong subs.

 

 

Camp Descriptions

 

Camp 1: Ceramics & Crafts   (Ages 4 to 7)  (Ages 8 to 13)

Campers will paint ceramics, design & paint a t-shirt, hand sew a small animal with felt, build with polymer clay, paint a canvas and much more!
 
 

Camp 2: All About STEM (Ages 4-7) (Ages 8 to 13)

What is STEM? STEM is Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. STEM is everywhere today and in everything we do. It builds and teaches creativity, problem solving, life skills, ingenuity, resourcefulness, patience and curiosity. STEM is what shapes the future as our world grows and changes.

Ages 4 to 7 – For this age group, some of the projects include making a kaleidoscope, creating & launching a straw rocket, making a catapult and building a paddle boat that floats. Kids will also be introduced to coding using Blue-Bot, a bluetooth programmable floor robot. 

Ages 8 to 13 – In this group, kids will be introduced to many STEM concepts thru hands on projects such as creating a wigglebot (homemade motorized robot), a solar oven that will cook s’mores, building a ferris wheel with popsicle sticks and awesome science experiments such as making hot ice and elephant toothpaste.

 

Camp 3: STEMP Camp – Lego Robotics (Ages 5 to 8)

Campers will use the new Lego WeDo Bluetooth version and tablets to build their models and then to program them with simple drag & drop software.
